Behind the experience.
Forty countries. Three days beside the river. A leadership team needed time to hear a new direction, question it and find their place in it together.
The brief
A new strategy was ready. The people who would carry it into the business needed time together.
For this financial services group, that meant bringing senior leaders from forty countries into one conversation. The client wanted a summit that felt different from the usual conference: clear enough to hold a shared direction, generous enough to leave room for regional perspectives.
Three days had to be worth the journey. Beyond the sessions, colleagues needed time to become more than a name on another office's screen.
The experience
A converted riverside power station in Lisbon gave the gathering a setting with character. Inside, a hall designed in the round placed the audience around a shared centre. The run of show was developed with the client's communications team, keeping the programme close to the message it needed to carry.
Then the evenings opened out into the city.
Each region had its own night, with programmes that gave colleagues time together beyond the hall. The intention was simple: enough shared structure to bring the company together, enough space for individual relationships to have a life within it.
On the ground
Arrivals from forty countries came through the airport within a two-hour window. Stage, translation and broadcast ran from a single control room. These were demanding arrangements, held together so the client could attend to the people making the journey.
A host already has a room full of relationships to care for. Transfers, cues and technical handovers should not keep pulling them out of it.
The production carried that responsibility. The client's time could stay with the leaders gathered in Lisbon and the conversations they had crossed borders to have.
